Team Southern Captures the 2008
Intersectional Title in Shreveport
Three of Louisiana’s top players in the nation were selected to
represent the South at Intersectionals in Shreveport. Lauren Mira,
Garrett Brasseaux and Robert Verzaal were on the team that put the
South into the championship, which they won against Southern
California. Currently, both Robert and Garrett are in the top 60 in
the national standings; 42 and 52 respectively. Lauren, who
suffered an ankle sprain during the event, is at 40 in the national
standings. The LTA Board and Junior Tennis Council congratulate
these three outstanding players for their selection to the
Intersectional team.
